Alessandro Cozzi

  • Graduated in Veterinary Medicine at the University of Pisa in 2004

  • PhD in Equine Physiology in 2009 on the social behavior of the horse and the mechanisms of conflict management and reconciliation in this species (University of Messina and Pisa, 2009)

  • Master in Behavioral Medicine for Pets (University of Pisa, 2010)

  • Since 2009 he has worked at the Institute of Research in Semio-Chemistry and Applied Ethology (IRSEA) and since 2016 he is the CEO of IRSEA

  • In 2015, he graduated as a Specialist at the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioral Medicine subspecialty Animal Welfare, Ethics and Law (ECAWBM -AWSEL)

  • In 2017, elected Vice President of ECAWBM

  • PhD in Equine Physiology (University of Pisa, 2012) on cognitive-emotional interaction in horses.

    From 2009 to 2012 he administered the behavioral consultation service for pets at the Department of Physiological Sciences at the University of Pisa.

  • Since 2012, he works at IRSEA as a researcher and is the current coordinator of clinical trials.

  • Resident of the European College of Animal Welfare and Behavioral Medicine (ECAWBM)

  • Conducts behavioral consultations and conducts research on new emotional biomarkers in pets.
